History lesson is the core link of history teaching, in which teachers could impart information to, and communicate with students, both in emotional communication and behavior feedback. In the interest of evaluating the teaching equality better and diagnosing teaching problems in good time, it’s of great importance to have an investigation of current conditions of history lesson. In this way, this article can provide schools and frontline teachers with timely feedback information; help them improve the quality of teaching, and a make a better pace with teaching schedule. In order to grasp the theory of history lesson and the latest research results, the introduction part reviews the history of the history lesson about China, new development and research methods. Based on the information of the dynamic research on the history lesson of China, I want to explore the standards of good history lessons in junior middle school in China. I’ve edited questionnaire according to the standards of good history lessons and my preliminary understanding of the history teaching in Changan junior middle school. Through my investigation and the feedback of these questionnaires, I find out three limitations about its history teaching: class activities,question skills and the use of modern teaching aids. Accordingly, I came up with my three tips: the urgent need of the construction of teachers’ team, pay more attention to history course, and attach more importance to the quality education.About the research methods, on the basis of theoretical knowledge and my own practice, I’ve designed questionnaires about history teaching in Changan middle school. Combined the feedback with my interviews with school leaders, teachers and students, all the data is analyzed by statistical method. Finally, through expert consultation, proposes of amendment was brought out, then I designed a distinctive class of history teaching and made a record. Take the case of Changan junior middle school as a sample, I hope I can provide a prospective to the study and practice about development status of history teaching in south China.
