With the deepening of the new national curriculum reform,the history education has become increasingly prominent in quality education.It plays an extremely important role in shaping students’ correct socialist core values,historical outlook,materialism and cultivating their thinking abilities.The Outline of Education after the new curriculum reform clearly stipulates that the purpose of history education is to cultivate students’ creative learning abilities,enable students to further grasp and apply the basic methods of learning history and understanding history,improve students’ comprehensive qualities,and improve students’ ability to learn independently and their inquiry ability.Taking the history teaching of rural junior middle school in Qianxi County as the subject,this paper adopts the methods of questionnaire,interview,lecture in class and documentation,etc to investigate the present situation and existing problems of the history teaching in rural junior middle school in Qianxi County.By investigating and studying the regional microcosmic,individual case and overall understanding to analyze and demonstrate it,which will contribute to putting forward some realistic meaning and theoretical conclusions and strategies.This article is mainly composed of three parts: introduction,main body and conclusion.The main body is divided into three chapters,the first chapter is the investigation of the present situation of history teaching in rural junior middle schools in Qianxi County;the second chapter is the analysis of the investigation of history teaching in 10 rural junior high schools in Qianxi County;the third chapter is the problems,reasons and Countermeasures that the history teaching in rural junior high schools are meeting in Qianxi County.At present,the overall development trend of education in Qianxi county has been steadily improving,and the basic education has been developing vigorously.However,the non-unified examination subjects,such as history,politics and geography,which are still in the frontier position.Especially for the history subject,there are some phenomena,such as the lack of attention from schools and society,the low degree of specialization of teachers,the inflexibility of teaching methods,the imperfection of teaching evaluation system and the students’ incorrect attitude towards history courses.If this goes on for a long time,not only will it be very unfavorable to the healthy development of education,but also not beneficial to the cultivation of a new era of comprehensive talents.Fortunately,with the help of the basic balanced development of compulsory education and the "Tenth Five-Year Plan" of the East Wind,the county’s rural school infrastructure is being improved,and the ranks of teachers is being strengthened,all the schools are moving towards a balanced development.The author believes that,under the strong leadership of the county government,with the loving concern of the education authorities and with the joint efforts of all the teachers,the history education in rural junior middle schools in Qianxi County will surely develop very well as long as the teaching concept is changed,the management of history teaching is strengthened,the input of history subject is strengthened,and the history subject is evaluated diversifiedly.
