Exponent is an important concept in the junior middle school mathematical curriculum, through high school mathematical curriculum, it is to learn knowledge base of exponential function and logarithm. The exponential function as the first function model of the new elementary function in the higher mathematics, which contains the way of thinking is very important, radiation in high school mathematics other chapters content, but a lot of practice shows that students feel difficult in learning.Therefore, this study is to explore the convergence of the "exponent and the exponential function" in the higher mathematics.In this paper,the Guiding middle school in Southern Guizhou Province as an example, through questionnaire survey, interview method, with high school math teachers and senior one students as the research object of investigation and study, draws the following conclusions:(1) There is a great difference between the teaching materials exponent and exponential function of the junior high school textbooks and the writing intention, and the related concepts are obviously different in the textbook, which brings some negative influence to the students.(2)The high school students in this part of the existence of conceptual understanding do not reach the designated position,control algorithms unskilled, resulting in poor computing power, lack of mastery of mathematical thinking problems and so on.(3)Some teachers to the concept of teaching use direct teaching concepts, and then let the students to consolidate to solve the problem;Young teacher preparation is not sufficient,just depends on the collective preparation time is not enough to study the teaching methods for students in this class.Based on the above research, combining my own three years of high school teaching practice, the author puts forward some suggestions: Teachers should carefully read the curriculum standards and the teaching material, grasp the teaching requirements, analyze the convergence of knowledge structure;Improve the students’ bad study way, strengthen students’ understanding of concepts, pay more attention to the training of the operation ability;Teachers’ teaching should pay attention to the penetration of mathematical thinking of related;To strengthen the exchange of teaching between junior and senior high school teachers, teaching situation to be understood each other.
