Since the Reform and Opening, urbanization of China has made a rapid development, taking great impact on the rural population of life for every aspect. There is no exception in the field of language. Urbanization leads to the promotion of Mandarin, more and more rural population contacts with Mandarin and starts to use Mandarin frequently in the process of urbanization. More and more rural areas influenced by the Mandarin and dialect. With the increasing intensity of government’s working on popularizing mandarin in recent years, some activities carried out comprehensively in the vast rural areas, such as“popularizing rural”and“mandarin promotion into the countryside”and so on, making the mandarin level of rural areas increasing rapidly and substantially, which promotes the urbanization construction actively on the other hand. The urbanization and rural promotional work are closely interlinked and mutually reinforcing. In such a situation, paying attention to the Mandarin teaching and improving the Mandarin teaching level in Township High School have become an important subject of social, cultural and economic value. Since the township middle school is the main place of knowledge dissemination in rural areas, also is the main position to the popularization of mandarin, solving the problem in popularization of mandarin of the rural schools will solve the core issue of popularization mandarin in rural areas, and will also solve some relevant problems in the process of urbanization.The author in Hezhang County in accordance with the township middle school as an example, through field research, interview and other methods summed up the relationship between urbanization and Mandarin,characteristics and difficulties of the countryside middle school mandarin teaching in background of urbanization, and carry out the practice research of the Mandarin teaching. Sum up the experience on the basis of investigation. Finally, practice researching and put forward suggestions about mandarin teaching in Guizhou Township Middle Schoolunder the background of urbanization. Hope to have perspective of the present situation of the rural areas of Guizhou Province mandarin teaching through the case analysis of Dayi middle school.
