AR(Augmented Reality, AR),a new type of technology, is the extension of digital technology and developed by Virtual Reality technology. Augmented Reality uses digital cameras to get image data, such as real world objects, design, logo and so on. And using computer graphics algorithm calculates tags at the same time, setting a layer of virtual digital information superimposed on marker, letting the audience to obtain more dynamic information(text, images, sound, 3d models and interactive controlling) by digital devices.By doing so, the audience would have an immersed sense. Thanks to the progress of science and technology, Augmented Reality’s doorsill has been more and more low. At present, a lot of companies in different filed and institutions have also been involved in the research and creation of Augmented Reality.Learning aids, as important support to facilitate learning,is the generic terms that help learners to understand complex things in learning. Learning aids can provide direct observation and experience through concrete physical objects or models, make the learners combine concrete and abstract concepts, so as to understand and master the knowledge of what they have learned.Augmented Reality learning aids, based on Augmented Reality technology, combine the traditional sense of learning aids and computers’ virtual, digital resources and it is the aids based on digital devices, which make students for better learning. It not only has the advantages of traditional learning aids of intuitive and real, but learners can also interact through certain operation, perform at any time and place of learning so that it is not influenced by other factors. These advantages are unmatched by traditional learning aids, so Augmented Reality can play a vital role in education.First of all, the paper reviews Augmented Reality and its application in education and learning aids of related research, then summarizes the application of Augmented Reality teaching’s theoretical basis, thus provides theoretical basis for the rest of the Augmented Reality learning aids’ design and implementation.Later, the paper makes detailed design in three sides: applicability analysis, design principles and the mode of development.The paper finally conducts a case study. According to the development mode of last past,expounds the whole process of development. First, this paper analyzes in three aspects: teaching content, learning subject, application situation and ways on the demand analysis; in the design phase,this paper completes the design of learning resources, program design and teaching design; stage in the development of production, the author uses SketchUp, Photoshop and so on to make the 3d models,pictures and videos and other multimedia materials. Then uses the "tianyan" platform to complete the production of Augmented Reality learning aids.Augmented Reality learning aids can improve the learners’ interest in learning, stimulate their learning motivation, and can make contextualized learning effectively.It can bring a whole new experience for the current teaching and contribute significantly to education in the future.
