When it comes to High school mathematics teaching, mathematics teacher’s teaching method is very important. According to the student’s mental age, if the teaching method is implemented improperly, it may easily lead to student and teacher conflict. According to the students the basic knowledge, if appropriate teaching methods are not implemented students will resent math class, it might even lead to problems like confronting the teachers. The teaching method of mathematics teachers d i r e c t l y a f f e c t st u d e n t s ’ l ea r n i n g a c h i ev e m e n t a n d l ea r n i n g i n t er e s t.The main contents of this dissertation consists of five chapters. The first chapter, by collecting and consulting the literature, it give a overview of the research directions and findings related to teaching methods both within China and abroad, and introduces the practical significance of this study. The second chapter, the commonly used teaching method in the field of mathematics is classification; also the most representative teaching methods in mathematics are introduces including interactive teaching methods, teaching method of researching and discussing, selfstudy tutorship teaching methods and multi-media teaching methods. It further points out the advantages and disadvantages of each kind of teaching method. The third chapter introduces the design and presentation of the research methods of this study which includes a detail research account of Shu Le county First Middle School and Sha Che County First Middle School. Teachers and students are given questionnaires in two sample schools with class survey and on-site interviews. Chapter four: after data-collecting and organizing th e su rve y resu lts are reported; the cu rrent implemented teaching methods implemented by middle school mathematic teachers are classified accordingly. Questionnaires, class survey and interview survey results are analyzed in details which leads to the discussion of the problems that are present in Ka Shi Area high school mathematics teaching as well as the reasons that influence the choice of particular teaching methods. The fifth chapter summarizes the research results and research prospect.
