Self-made teaching aids with cultivating students’ creative ability, practical ability is the role that self-made teaching aids used in teaching is conducive to the development of teachers and students. Understanding of Urumqi junior middle school physics self-made teaching aids in physics teaching application status, analysis the existing problems and put forward the problems, put forward reasonable suggestions have important significance of research.Study on the constructivism learning theory, Tao Xingzhi put forward of "teaching, learning and doing" theory, self-made characteristics of AIDS as the theoretical basis, mainly uses the method of questionnaire survey, with teachers and students as the object of investigation. Respectively, to understand the teachers and students hands-on practice and attitude towards the self-made teaching aids, treatment of self-made teaching aids, attitude, making teaching times, homemade AIDS brought influence, harvest and so on several aspects of information, analysis of Urumqi junior middle school physics self-made teaching aids status.Study selected Urumqi City nine, 54, 29, 19, 37, 44, normal university high school, 46 secondary eight middle school eighth grade, junior high school students in grade nine and eight middle school physics teachers in junior high school. Each school has two classes for the students to investigate the object, a total of 712 people, including 13 Chinese language teaching classes, 3 bilingual teaching classes. 21 teachers. A total of 712 questionnaires were issued, 680 questionnaires were recovered, the overall recovery was 95.51%. A total of 22 questionnaires were issued and 21 questionnaires were returned. The overall recovery was 95.45%.Through the investigation of some students and teachers in Urumqi, the following conclusions are obtained:1, junior high school students are willing to do, but little hands-on activities.3, teachers and students are aware of the role of self-made teaching aids, but no real use of self-made teaching aids.4, the teachers themselves of self-made teaching aids related theory knowledge, practical ability is not strong.5, teachers usually do not pay attention to the collection of materials, with the lack of production materials.
