Research Of Students Career Guidance At A Medical College From The View Of Boundaryless Career

The further marketization of China’s economy has intensified competition among enterprises,and the Survival of the fittest is more obvious. the way of career may change between different enterprises and departments, taking place of someone devoted to only one job in his lifetime.Therefore,the career guidance for medical students should be suitable for the times, and also must be integrated into the guiding concept of boundaryless career.This essay was focus on the college graduates, undergraduates in A medical college and other relevant personnel.The results indicated that most of the students have the tendency of boundaryless career and quit from old jobs.Even in occupations involving healthcare, there are Willing to accept the occupational mobility of employees generally.According to the data, this essay also analysed the some problems and current situation of career guidance,such as idealized career guidance, less aware of the boundaryless career and the problems of career education.Furthemore,A medicial college ignored the development of transferable skills.Moreover,there is an obvious lack in one-on-one counselling, as we come to realize that every student is different.In order to patch up and improve the way of career guidance is conducted,which there is a need to provide for our students a more comprehensive, precise, personalized and diverse career guidance experience.Firstly,students should be exposed to the idea of boundaryless career, and as such raise their employability by encouraging them to set shorter term goals and to actively work towards their plan of future.Secondly,there needs to be multiple approaches towards career matching and progression as well as finding a balance between the differences of what the students specialize in versus what they do for a career. Thirdly,students will also be thought about the importance of lifelong learning, entrepreneurship, raising social capital and building social networks. Lastly, the college should strengthen thecultivation of students’ psychological quality and the ability to cope with stress.
