Purpose:To understand the status of medical college students’ career adaptabilityTo explore the influencing factors of medical students’ career adaptability;To investigate the effect of Career Planning courses to improve the status of the medical students’career adaptability.Object:Survey research:The students of a total number of805from24classes were randomly selected from freshman to senior year of Shanxi Medical University, using stratified cluster random sampling method.Intervention study:70voluntary students were selected meet the standards and randomly divided into experimental and control groups. The test group received career planning courses intervention, the control group did not receive the intervention.Methods:1. QuestionnaireIn this study,805students in Shanxi Medical University were administered questionnaires which are "College students career adaptability scale "," Self-concept scale ", to analyze the influencing factors of career adaptability degrees.2. Experimental Intervention70voluntary students were selected meet the standards and randomly divided into experimental and control groups. The test group received career planning courses intervention, the control group did not receive career planning courses intervention.3. MeasurementMeasure the two groups before, after and one month and a half after the career planning course,using "College students career adaptability scale "and" Self-concept scale ",.Use the method of repeated measurements for statistical analysis of the data. Results:1. Survey findings:Medical Students’career adaptability in sex, whether the one-child family residence, whether to get a scholarship, professional, social practice, the difference was not statistically significant;Medical Students’career adaptability in the grade, student leaders differences was statistically significant (F=4.65, P<0.01; F=3.50, P<0.01). Specific performance:on the grade, freshman and senior students are significantly higher than the junior; on whether the student leaders, student leaders scored significantly higher than non-student leaders. Medical Students’self-concept its dimension and career of adaptbility and dimension exist significant correlation and have resilience forecast to career adaptability, canonical correlation analysis further reveals the inherent relationship between self-concept career adaptability.2. Intervention Study ResultsThe results of repeated measures analysis of variance display:the career adaptability of the test group and the control group has significant difference among treatment (F=10.728, P<0.01); career adaptability has trends over time (F=10.781, P<0.01), And the trend of change over time is different with subgroups (F=3.394, P<0.05). Further pairwise comparisons revealed:the experimental group’s immediate post-test and delayed test scores were significantly higher than the pre-test score; The test group have significantly higher scores than control group score on immediate post-test and delayed-test. On total score of self-concept, self-psychological, social self, The difference between delay post-test scores and pre-test scores from experimental group was statistically significant.Conclusion:Self-concept and career adaptability have inherent association and make forecast to career adaptability.Career planning course center on improve the self-concept is an effective means of intervention to improve the level of medical students’ career adaptability, which have significant immediate effect and delay effect, is an effective intervention...
