Establishment And Comprehensive Evaluation Of Residents’ Happiness Index Of Hebei Province

British philosopher Humo (D.Humo) said:"the great goal of all human endeavors is togain happiness." Therefore, the pursuit of happiness is an important driving force and theultimate goal of the harmonious development of human society. This paper adopts themethods that combined with theoretical analysis and empirical analysis, qualitative analysisand quantitative analysis, selects the representative index from the residents living, economicdevelopment and income distribution, social services, environmental and public safety fourfield which is in basic of previous studies, and established the basic index system of residents’happiness. Through the collection and collation statistical data for2006-2010, and usingAnalytic Hierarchy Process to determine the weight of each index, using the improvedexponential effective function, producing in residents’ happiness index of Hebei province andcomparison of index, then comprehensive evaluate the residents’ happiness index of Hebeiprovince.Comprehensive evaluation results show that: in the residents’ happiness, there are manyproblems in our province, such as the wide gap between urban and rural residents’ income, theunfair income distribution system, consumer prices rose too fast, the narrow coverage ofsocial security, the education quality is not high, the living environment is worrying. Then putforward the suggestions to improve the residents’ happiness index in Hebei Province.
