With the processing of the aging society in China, the tourism whichtends to old people is playing an important role in the tourist market.At present, there are plenty of old people in good physical andpsychological conditions, particularly, the retired leaders, teachers,doctors,critical cultural workers and those who are relatively rich. Theybecome the target population of the old age tourist market. Since theyhave enough time and money as well as the support from their children andattention paid by our government and companies, old people’s desire totravel is stronger than the young men who are working hard for theircareers. To some extend, taking a trip has been a kind of leisure lifestyleof old people.On the other hand, we can find out many problems in our old age tourproducts, such as the lack of a unified price mechanism and a thoroughservice to protect the rights of aged tourists, the unclearnessdevelopment of products and brands. Old people’s needs and the out-dateddevelopment of old age tour products are in a big conflict, as thoseproducts are short of the study on the characteristics of old people andseldom developed with the fitness in old people’s physical andpsychological characteristics. Therefore, old people’s demands for thetour products should be satisfied urgently.The present thesis takes Suichang as the destination of the developmentof old age tour products. This study,firstly considers that there is anexcellent space for developing old age tour products, after analyzingtheir characteristics and the necessity and feasibility of theirdevelopment. Secondly, based on the basic conditions, it makes researchon the advantages and disadvantages of the development of old age tourproducts in Suichang, and comes to the conclusion that Suichang has thecondition and necessity to develop the old age tour products. Finally,according to Suichang’s existing condition and problems in itsdevelopment of old age tour products, this study puts forward the “fourelements project”, and proposes some strategies and suggestions for thedeveloping of old age tour products.
