With the economic and social’s steady development, people’s living standardsrising, the traditional division of labor and the concept of the family suffered atremendous impact. The division that men work outside and women are at home hasalso been changed. It has more and more “working couple” families. Both men andwomen face the problems coming from work and their family. These conflicts causedby work and family are increasingly intensified, which will bring a greater negativeimpact on the employees, affecting the work and life ultimately. Job burnout is the oneof negative impacts. It not only causes staff’s physical and mental burden, but also hasbrought many bad effects to work. So job burnout and work and family balancecause wide attention of employers and community.Since the concept of emotional labor was introduced, many psychologists andorganizational behavior scholars have researches into the area. Especially job burnoutproblem caused by emotional labor has increasingly become the focus of academicresearch. This study draws on research theory at home and abroad, attempts to explorethe relationship between emotional labor and job burnout with the perspective of workfamily balance, and exploring the moderating effect of work family balance betweenemotional labor and job burnout. One purpose of this study is to explore more onemotional labor, and to attract more attention on this subject from scholars andentrepreneurs. The second purpose of this study is to find out the relationship ofemotional labor and job burnout with the perspective of work family balance.This study carried out a survey on employees’ work and family balance,emotional labor and job burnout through questionnaire investigation. And by usingSPSS19.0statistical analysis software, through factor analysis, reliability analysis,one-way ANOVA analysis, correlation analysis and regression analysis, finally drawthe conclusion:(1) Employees’ work and family balance, emotional labor and job burnout aresignificant differences on some demographic variables;(2) Work and family balance and its resource sharing, value identity and rolemoderation dimensions have significant predictive power on job burnout; Emotionallabor and its surface acting dimension have significant predictive power on jobburnout and its emotional exhaustion,depersonalization and lack of personalaccomplishment dimensions; (3) Work and family balance is proved the moderating effect between theemotional labor (surface acting) and job burnout (emotional exhaustion anddepersonalization).According to the research conclusion, this article proposed the correspondingmanagement measures by paying attention to the differences of employees’ workfamily balance and emotionallabor, improving the organization’s human resourcesmanagement policies, and also pointed out the limitations of this study and futureresearch directions on this issue.
