China’s development has been a major subject of attention of the world, thedevelopment of China’s economy and its development approach will have a significantimpact on the lifestyle and well-being of Chinese people. Inner Mongolia, westernChina’s important energy base and industrial base, the rich energy reserves in InnerMongolia is China’s important safeguard security of energy supply, resulting in therapid development in Inner Mongolia mainly rely on the development of the energyindustry and heavy industry, this single structural model of economic developmentdriving the rapid economic development, but resulting in a large amount of energyconsumption, its economic structure is not appropriate, and will pollute the environmentseriously. For a long time, it will have an adverse impact on economic, social andenvironmental sustainability, therefore coordinate the relationship between economicdevelopment and energy consumption in Inner Mongolia is a significant and urgent task. This paper analyzed the situation of total energy consumption and energyconsumption structure in Inner Mongolia. The study found: the total energyconsumption of Inner Mongolia grew rapidly in recent years, and Inner Mongolia’senergy consumption structure has a larger proportion of coal, however, natural gas, wind, solar and other clean energy account for a smaller proportion, energyconsumption structure is irrational. Analysis of the economic development and itsindustrial structural condition in Inner Mongolia found: Secondary industry has beenrapid development in Inner Mongolia’s economic structure, and secondary industryplays a decisive role in economic development, the first industrial development stablerelatively, the development and growth rate of tertiary industry is slow, there is stillmuch room for growth, Inner Mongolia’s industrial structure, need for a furtheroptimization and adjustment.A mathematical model of energy consumption and industrial structure in InnerMongolia was constructed. model analysis found: Energy consumption affect the development of secondary industry significantly, followed by the tertiary industry, theimpact on the primary industry is minimal. Energy policy formulation and adjustment inInner Mongolia, will have a greater impact on the development of secondary industryand economic. Prediction Research of energy consumption and industrial structure inInner Mongolia found: If do not take effective economic policy and industrial policyguidance, according to the current model and speed of development, Inner Mongolia’stotal energy consumption will maintain rapid growth trend, energy consumptionstructure will still remain a long-term coal-based status, secondary industry orientedindustrial structure will not change the situation in a short time. To complete themission of reducing energy consumption intensity of the Twelfth Five-Year Planrequired, there are a lot of work to do. To achieve sustainable and healthy developmentof economy, society and the environment, energy consumption structure and industrialstructure need to be further adjustment and optimized.
