Research On Performance Evaluation Of Insurance Companies Based On AHP/DEA Model

With the development of national science and technology progress in society andeconomy, insurance companies face increasingly fierce competition and need tostrengthen internal management, innovation and improve the management level ofperformance from their own point of view. So, in the new competitive situation, howto improve the national and international competitiveness of companies are alsorelated to the future sustainable development of China’s insurance industry; therefore,operating performance level of insurance companies are centralized embodiment ofthe comprehensive strength of companies, the key of insurance companies can win inthe fierce competition is whether to improve the management level of performance.The article taking the performance of insurance companies as the research object,and elaborates the relevant concepts, theories and method in performance evaluationof insurance companies. On the basis of studying in the vast literature on operatingperformance evaluation of insurance companies, the paper constructs operatingperformance evaluation index in insurance companies based on BSC, and constructsoperating performance evaluation index in insurance companies based on the AHPand operating performance evaluation index in insurance companies based AHP/DEA,through the use of BSC, AHP and DEA method. Therefore, the paper constructsoperating performance evaluation index system for insurance companies in the use ofBSC method, AHP method and DEA method, and provides indicators researchfoundation for operating performance evaluation in insurance companies.This paper further studies operating performance evaluation index system in theinsurance companies through the AHP/DEA method, and constructs operatingperformance evaluation in insurance companies of input and output index systembased on AHP/DEA method. At the same time, the paper constructs operatingperformance evaluation insurance companies of AHP/DEA model, and analysis themodel by establishing and improvement of performance evaluation. Firstly, it’snecessary to construct the operating performance judgment matrix in insurancecompanies using DEA method based on using of operating performance evaluation ininsurance companies of AHP/DEA model; Secondly, the paper research total ordering by using AHP method of operating in insurance companies according to the judgmentmatrix and calculating feature vectors.Finally, the paper empirical analysis and verification of the five propertyinsurance companies examples of operating performance based on the AHP/DEAmethod, and the sort of comparison through the use of DEA method and AHP/DEAmethod for performance evaluation results, and get different performance level of theempirical analysis and verification of the five property insurance companies examplesof operating performance in insurance companies; at the same time, the paper putsforward some suggestions on how to improve the operating performance evaluationresults in insurance companies.
