Since twenty-first Century, with the application of total quality management, six sigma, leanproduction and other new production methods and requirements, to the rapid reaction andpartners, put forward higher requirements. Therefore, the enterprises pay more attention to thescientific quality management of suppliers; actively promote the supplier to improve the qualitymanagement system in order to provide high quality and low price of materials. Today, thesupplier quality management in this environment, push suppliers to grow together, has becomethe key factor to improve the competitive advantage of the manufacturing enterprise, strategicsignificance.Firstly, began from the development of quality management theory, introduces therequirements to supplier quality management of the main quality management system such asISO9001:2000, TS16949used in manufacturing industries, as well as the origin of the theory ofsupply chain management from domestic and abroad scholar, and their understanding thedefinition.Secondly, take printed circuit board manufacturing industry K Company as theresearch object, the Kalex Company and Viasystems group were introduced, including thepredecessor of the company, company scale, culture, production capacity and product flow,organization structure, its key customers. Then, from the overall view of supplier qualitymanagement point, combined with the practical analysis of the existing supplier qualitymanagement control problems. The current situation of K company supplier quality managementsystem carries on the analysis from three aspects:1, the allocation of human resources;2, supplierquality management system documentation system;3, not with the group in the Asia Pacificregion, the other is brother PCB factory in horizontal cooperation in order to improve theefficiency of and to enhance the United Management of suppliers.Finally, based on the analysis of K company and Viasystems group and the actual situation,one by one to implement corrective actions. From the human resources aspects, foreign occupation managers hire professional management of high-quality personnel, recruitment ofexperienced construction SQA team. While in the supplier quality management systemintroduced industry experience, establish supplier quality system document system. At the sametime, the Viasystems group supplier management departments of the organization structure hasbeen optimized to adjust, the three factories in the Asia Pacific region and unified management,and is decomposed into QMS supplier quality system, SQE, SDE supplier development, supplierquality management three functional departments.QMS supplier quality system develop documents apply Viasystems group in three factoriesin the Asia Pacific region, the main work is to publish foreign supplier, supplier quality manualrestraint behavior, to the evaluation of supplier selection, new product introduction, suppliermanagement, the STS inspection program, change management, supplier disqualification andother related work to formulate and update procedure guidelines.SQE supplier quality engineer is to follow up daily and supplier quality managementactivities in the factory, the work is based on QMS formulation of the rules of procedure,following up the incoming quality issue, processing complaints, follow up supplier8D report,change management, follow up material qualification, approval and audit supplier quality system,supplier monthly and annual quality performance summary.SDE engineer is responsible for developing project of SQCDP, supplier quality regionalculture, namely, strengthening the project according to the strategic supplier; the purpose isthrough changing the thinking and culture to improve the quality of performance, reach quality ofViasystems consistency requirements. The work is mainly three aspects: carry out supplier qualityimprovement project of SQIP, implementation of CS control shipping, push supplier qualityculture development project as SQCDP.In the conclusion part, review the performance indicators of Viasystems group since year2012after the implementation, the main KPI of supplier quality management system began toimprove. Can be seen that the KPI indicators are in continuous improvement becomes a good trend. The supplier quality management system of Kalex Company and the improvement ofViasystems group have achieved initial success, and still need to be in the direction of continuousimprovement in order to achieve the ultimate goal of all KPI indicators all qualified. Hope toshare this case of the K Company to improve the supplier quality management system, to providesome reference to other experience in supplier quality management and supplier qualitymanagement study with relevant personnel.
