| With the arrival of ‘service economy’ era, the service industry, especiallyreferring to knowledge-intensive and technology-intensive modern serviceindustry, has become the most significant force in driving the development of theeconomy and the optimization and upgrading of the industrial structure of acountry or a region. At the moment, the development of the modern serviceindustry in ‘Guan Zhong---Tian Shui’ region is at a low level. However, it isfacing unprecedented opportunities and challenges currently.Against this general background, this thesis tends to study the developmentproblems of the modern service industry in ‘Guan Zhong---Tian Shui’ regionsystematically with the application of some relevant theories and approaches ofRegional Economics and Industrial Economics. The main contents and conclusionsof this thesis will be rendered as follows:Firstly, on the basis of the analysis of some general theories of regionalservice industry and modern service industry, this thesis will elaborate on thesignificance of this research from the theoretical and practical sides respectively.Secondly, this thesis will analyze the status quo and existing barriers of thedevelopment of the modern service industry in this area. Moreover, this thesis putsforward four factors which have an impact on the evolution of modern serviceindustry. These four factors mean factors of economy, market, system and talents.In addition, in this charter, the author proposes the necessity of developing themodern service industry in this area. In addition, based on the analysis of thedevelopment situation of modern service industry in Yangtze River Delta regionand Beijing-Tianjin-Hebeiregion, this thesis explores the opportunities andchallenges of modern service industry by using SWOT and tends to find out its internal strengths and defects. At the end of this essay, the author suggests somepossible strategies for the modern service industry in ‘Guan Zhong---Tian Shui’region. |
