Urban and rural integration is the high stage of urbanization, and the necessary product of the productivity development to a certain degree. To promote urban and rural integration is the underlying demand of a moderately prosperous society in all aspects.Practice at home and abroad has shown that the development of urban-rural integration is not only the advanced stage of urbanization, but also the process of promoting the composition of city and countryside、citizens and farmers、industry and agriculture with the improvement of productivity. How to eliminate the urban-rural dual structure, and how to realize the urban and rural integration in the historical process of building a well-off society is urge for solution at present in our country.On the basis of analyzing the theory of urban and rural integration home and abroad, this thesis points out that its study in China is still at the budding stage. And based on the analysis of its concepts, the connotation and patterns of urban and rural integration are discussed from multiple angles. In addition, combined with practice, this thesis puts forward the ideas of building the evaluation index of urban and rural integration in Tangshan, and conducts active experiment on how to promote it in Tangshan. The case study of Tangshan helps to further the theoretical study and inspires the development of urban and rural integration in other areas of China.On the theoretical and practical basis of the discussion of urban and rural integration home and abroad, this thesis analyzes its practice modes in Tangshan and problems that come around, summarizes its practice modes, and proposes the countermeasures to the building of urban and rural integration in Tangshan.
