Inbound tourism as an important component of China’s tourism industry, as with domestic tourism, it has to face the seasonal problems caused by natural, social and emergencies, The tourist season not only brings negative influence to the economic of tourism, ecological and social, but also seriously affect the quality of tourism experience of tourists, so that China’s international tourism image damage. Based on this, this paper takes22hot tourist cities in China as research object, from2006to2012the city monthly inbound tourists as panel data, adopting quantitative and qualitative methods to explore the seasonal spatial distribution.Firstly, the tourist season and the anti-season tourism is defined from the theoretical level, and then puts forward the relevant basic theory of tourism seasonality causes, forms and influencing. And then use the empirical analysis method to analyze the inbound tourism seasonal characteristics of22hot tourist city in China, the main steps are as follows:First, fractal theory is applied to the22hot tourist city of China’s inbound tourism spatial structure analysis, we find that it has "the polar nuclei characteristic structure group", and then from the two dimensions of space and time, we use the interannual variation index and center of gravity model to analysis the interannual variation and spatial variation of the22hot tourist city’s inbound tourism. Second, through the division of the hot tourist city season, combined with changes of monthly inbound tourism center of gravity, drawing the change law of22hot tourist cities’tourist seasonal in space. Third, we draw the seasonal distribution uniformity degree and its development trend of inbound tourism with using The Gene coefficient to calculate the seasonal strength of22hot tourist cities. Then we divide the22hot tourist city into five major areas, by comparing the degree of difference between the seasonal strength of the intra and inter regional, summarizes the distribution of the seasonal intensity difference in space. Fourth, using multidimensional scaling to analysis the city tourism seasonal spatial distribution similarity, we found the inbound tourism seasonality in spatial distribution can be clustered into three categories:no peak type, such as Beijing, shanghai and Guangzhou; two peaks type, such as Suzhou; multimodal type, such as Qingdao and Chongqing. Finally, based on push-pull theory, the article proposed that the vacation system, climatic conditions, tourism destination’s climate conditions and tourism resources of inbound tourist source countries are the main factors which affect the tourism season. And then, we propose a series of measures to relief the seasonal of inbound tourist, such as establish a national tourism seasonality network information platform, establish the concept of travel without seasonal, Increase the off-season tourism product development, resources of cluster development, using the price leverage, Joint marketing destination and so on.
