Eco-tourism is a nature-based tourism, and its destination is the natural human entity which hardly suffers too much interference. The Longgan Lake Natural Reserve area has less human disturbance and it is a good destination of eco-tourism. The Longgan Lake Natural Reserve area is a typical inland wetland, which has a rich native natural landscape, excellent geographical location, rich cultural heritage and high development potential. In this paper, our researches were related to eco-tourism development of the Longgan Lake, and we proposed development strategies to provide some basis for the protection of local tourism development. In this paper, we used literature review method and took examples related to development at domestic and abroad to determine the technical route of this paper. We used theoretical reference method, including wetlands, ecology, tourism and other theories to propose eco-tourism protective development strategies for wetland natural reserve area. These strategies consisted of three aspects, including environment protection, strict zoning and local tourism products development.Through the field investigation of the Longgan Lake Wetland Natural Reserve area, we found that local aquatic resources were so plentiful, which were formed of thirteen associations, including Lotus, Zizania and Caltrop. Aquatic plants occupied so large a area that it could be called "underwater forest". Local animal resources were also extremely rich. There were thirty-two species of national key protected wild animals, seventy-one species of province wildlife and five kinds of rare and endangered animals.(3) According to the national standard classification of tourism resources, the relevant resources classification of the Longgan Lake Natural Reserve areas were mainly classified as eight categories, twenty-two subcategories, in which integrated natural resources and integrated human resources have a larger proportion. Using AHP (Analytical Hierarchy Process) to take a comprehensive evaluation, there are seventeen evaluation indicators in which naturalness, recreation functionality and environmental capacity weighed a larger proportion. These investigation results showed, the Longgan Lake were a more enclosed area, as original natural landscape, which had an important attraction to tourist; recreational function of the Longgan Lake was recognized by the public, including fishing, lotus picking, bird watching and other activities; for the greater local environmental capacity, the Longgan Lake had a strong market potential. Comprehensive evaluation could be a good guide to eco-tourism development in the Longgan Lake Natural Reserve area.(4) The aim of this paper was to propose protective development strategies for the Longgan Lake Wetland Natural Reserve area. Using SWOT analysis, we summarized three major advantages, four disadvantages, five opportunities and challenges of the Longgan Lake Natural Reserve area. The development priorities of the Longgan Lake eco-tourism project including:①Four aspects of community infrastructure construction to assure food, housing, transportation and travel to visitor, and we should ensure those tourism activities not to damage the natural environment;②In the aspect of eco-tourism products development, we should integrate innovative ideas into natural and cultural resources to present thirteen kinds of eco-tourism products with local characteristics, then the protected area could form their core competitiveness;③Eco-tourism route planning was based on the protection which could allow visitors to approach nature and achieve a real sense of eco-tourism. We combined tourism psychology to develop four distinctive planning route of the Longgan Lake Wetland. Eco-tourism management was an important part of the protective development, and scientific management was essential to the unity of protection and development. Therefore, based on the study of ecological management objects, this paper presented eight appropriate management strategies to protect Longgan Lake sustainable development...
