Research On Exhibition Tourism Development Of Beijing Yanqi Lake International Convention Center

With the development of economic globalization and regional economic integration,the MICE industry has become more professionalized,industrialized and internationalized.As a new type of tourism based on this industry,MICE tourism can both improve the image of a city and promote its economic growth.Now in China,the MICE industry has taken shape and MICE tourism has caught increasing attention of domestic academic sectors and governmental institutions,accompanied with such problems as unsystematic theories regarding MICE tourism,vague relationship between MICE and MICE tourism and low efficiency of the MICE tourism market.Yanqi Lake Demonstration Zone of Ecological Development subordinate to Beijing Yanqi Lake International Convention & Exhibition Center is the only important carrier zone for international MICE activities in Beijing during the period of “13th Five-year” Plan.However,it is imperative to solve the problems about how to promote efficient development of the MICE tourism for this zone and how to take full advantage of surrounding resources and geographical position to achieve continuous improvement and establishment of the "International Convention" business card.Firstly,in this paper,relevant theories and research at home and abroad are studied and assorted through the generalization and summarization and literature research,summarizing the concept of MICE industry,the close relationship between MICE industry and tourist industry,and the connotation of MICE tourism.Upon analysis,the good trend of development in MICE tourism for Beijing City and Beijing Yanqi Lake International Convention & Exhibition Center is achieved through qualitative analysis and field investigation in conjunction with the statistics of Beijing Municipal Bureau of Statistics and other relevant units on MICE industry and tourism in Beijing.Secondly,in this paper,the current situation of the development of MICE tourism for Beijing Yanqi Lake International Convention & Exhibition Center is summarized by comprehensively using the location theory,the integrated marketing theory,the life cycle theory and the RMP analysis theory,analyzing its development conditions,describing the conception and strategic location of MICE Tourism of Beijing Yanqi Lake International Convention & Exhibition Center,analyzing its real development problems and the challenges it faces now and it will face in the future,thereby concluding that MICE tourism for Beijing Yanqi Lake International Convention & Exhibition Center should seize the opportunity in promoting product development,supported facilities,brand promotion,and perfect management system,regional cooperation and other aspects,and putting forward the development strategy to provide theoretical reference and practical measures for the development of MICE tourism for Beijing Yanqi Lake International Convention & Exhibition Center.
