The Comparative Research Of China-India Textiles International Comdetitiveness

China ranked first in the production and export of textiles and garments in the world,and textile and apparel industry is one of the earliest Chinese manufacturing industry produced,played an important role in promoting national economic development. Since China’s reform and opening up,the textile and garment exports in volume and price competition to win strategic guidance has been rapid development in the creation of foreign exchange for the country played an important role.After the international textile and apparel trade quotas,the world textile and apparel trade has a freedom environment to grow.International textile and apparel trade regime appeared important change,countries have adopted different ways of arrangement to manage their textile trade. India’s textile and apparel production and exports ranked second in the world after China,India has the development of the textile and garment industry natural advantages and conditions,such as abundant raw materials,cheap labor and abundant and rapidly growing domestic markets. Comparative advantage of India’s textile and garment industry,the development of the advantages of Chinese textile industry is gradually lost,as China’s domestic labor costs continue to rise,the advantage of cheap labor has ceased to exist;and because of geographical factors in China’s environmental resources and the impact of soil quality Chinese textile raw materials fell far short of the needs of the international market standards;Because China is a major exporter of textiles,other countries in the international textile market on their own domestic protection of Chinese textile imports have implemented a variety of barriers to trade;domestic environmental changes in the environment and foreign textile and garment industry to the development of China caused a variety of problems,China’s textile and apparel industry need to break through the restrictions of various unfavorable factors at home and abroad, continue to play its role in the international market.This paper describes the capabilities through the relevant international trade theory, from a country in the international market and the ability to open up the market to occupy the export competitiveness of the products analyzed,and further comparative analysis of the export competitiveness of the Indian textile and apparel products differences.First,from a theoretical basis for analysis of the sources of international competitiveness and its influencing factors.Second,the status of India’s textile and apparel exports were elaborated and further comparative analysis.Through India’s textile and apparel export competitiveness analysis and comparison,we can get the following conclusions:first,as the textile and apparel exports accounted for the proportion of the country’s total exports,India is below China;Second,as the growth rate of textile and apparel exports,China is higher than India;Third,as the international market share,India is lower than China;Forth,as the export structure and international export target markets,India has many similar with China;Fifth,China has stronger international competitiveness than India in garment exports while India has more competitiveness than China in the export of cotton and chemical fiber.Face the change of environment,if China want to keep the advantage of itself,it should be to strengthen the textile brand,increase value-added products,improve labor productivity,and enhance industrial concentration technical aspects of the science and technology innovation efforts.
