In this paper, the author takes Chengdu as the object of study, according tothe situation of study area, collecting and sorting the data on land use types and areas ofChengdu during1999-2010released by Chengdu Statistical Bureau. Besides, according tostatistical bulletin released by Chengdu Statistical Bureau, the author collected Chengdu’seconomic and social development data during this period and standardized these data withpositive and negative efficacy method to eliminate the influence of unit and dimension ondata analysis study.1. By using proven method of land structure analysis, through land single structureanalysis (calculating variation trend of the proportion of its various land areas), land usediversification (calculating changes of various land types in the system), informationentropy (calculating ordered and unordered degrees in the system), degree of dominance, balanced degree and other methods, carry out systematic data analysis and integration onland use types and areas of Chengdu during1999-2010, totally11years.2. From an overall level, evaluate comprehensive benefits of land use in Chengduduring1999-2010. The author, on the basis of reading and sorting a large number ofpredecessors’ evaluation of land use benefits, with scientific, systematic and hierarchical, operational and comprehensive principles, established three indexes related to land usewhich are economic, social and ecological benefit; meanwhile on the basis of proven weightevaluation method, using analytic hierarchy process, and fuzzy mathematics andmembership model, the author combined subjective evaluation with objective evaluation toget weight of each index, and calculated comprehensive weight with summing method.3. Select a variety of predictive models, through four indexes to predict the direction offuture changes in built-up area of Chengdu and determine the regression equation. To realizethe data being with comparative values, apply efficacy coefficient method to calculate the overall efficacy of land use.4. At last, select coordination degree model to carry out study and comparison of landuse coordination degree during12years in Chengdu.By applying relevant methods and models, it can be seen that built-up area of Chengdufrom2003to2009area began to expand continuously, the increasing range was especiallythe largest during2002-2003and reduced and slowed down during2003-2007. On thewhole, built-up area of Chengdu during the11years was increasing gradually. Those withlarger increasing range were areas of greenbelt in built-up area, built-up urban area, publicfacilities and industrial land, with increasing ranges respectively of240.58%,89.08%,74.91%and69.28%. While the maximum value of land use diversification value appeared in2003with its diversification index reaching0.69852and the minimum value of0.6259appeared in2000, and mean value over the years was0.6688. In information entropy, landdistribution of Chengdu during this phase had quite unbalanced gradual increase. Just on thewhole, the maximum difference was0.116, indicating that the overall development of thecity was an unordered-ordered-unordered development pattern. Comprehensive benefits ofland use, showed partial decline from1999to2000, but had a gradually increasing trendafter the inflection point of2000, and this trend was becoming more and more obvious astime going on. From0.2727in1999to0.8595in2010, it was3.15times of the originalbasis. In the process of Chengdu’s land use, it showed an overall pattern of a coordinateddevelopment. Except that land use in2000was good coordinated development, from1999to2010it all showed excellent coordinated development, which also means that Chengdu’soverall land use degree was higher, ecological environment was good and development insocial and economic aspects was faster. Then apply a polynomial model to predict thedevelopment direction of future land use for construction in Chengdu, and draw theregression equation. In the end, according to the evaluation results, explaining the resultsand give suggestions on optimization.
