The Role Of The Exhibition In The Economic Cooperation Between Yunnan Province And Great Mekong Sub-region

The six countries of the Great Mekong Sub-region engaged in economic cooperation in different areas since1992, when the Great Mekong Sub-region Economic Cooperation mechanism was started by the Asian Development Bank.The exhibition as a marketing communication activity under the market economic system, is characterized by gathering different things together, which is new, unique, specialized and sophisticated. And it include exhibitions, conferences, festivals, and other events and performances. the core of exhibition is a stationary space and time with a theme, the means of exhibition is expression and display and the purpose of it is to achieve commodity trade. Through encourage competition and exchange of information, it can promote innovation and research and development, optimize the allocation of resources and improve the efficiency of the market.For China-South Asia International Exhibition Fair and GMS forum, which are the representatives of the Great Mekong Sub-region Cooperation in exhibition. There are a series of resources shows, professional negotiation activities, business travel activities and the depth of communication services provided by the organizers of exhibition, flocked the supplier and buyers together in order to achieve a face to face and a low cost communication with high density of information resources, and to promote a wide range of selectivity and efficiency of cooperation.In this paper, I analysis the present situation, the opportunities and challenges of Yunnan to participate in the Great Mekong Sub-regional exhibition cooperation, and the role and impact for Yunnan Province to participate in the Great Mekong Sub-region Economic Cooperation provided by exhibition economy which is a service platform for exchanges and cooperation, and to further explore the path of Yunnan to strengthen participation in the Great Mekong Sub-region cooperation in exhibition.
