| The theory of national innovation system has got its rapid development under the situation of economic globalization, but economic development is dependent on the performance of the regional level innovation system of national level has been unable to meet the reality, and the regional innovation system emerged as the times require. On this basis, the academic field trying to build the "buildings" of regional innovation system from various angles, some of which are about the study of science and technology intermediary service industry on the innovation performance, but these studies focus more on theoretical level of the large and medium city. At the regional level, the empirical study on the innovation of the service industry--especially the science and technology intermediary service industry has rarely been tested. Some problems, such as whether the influence of science and technology intermediary service on different types of innovation are different; whether they play different roles in different areas, there are still no answers.We examine the professional technology services influence on the regional innovation performance from two aspects, including product innovation, knowledge innovation. In addition, we try to find out the effect of innovation of high tech industry of science and technology intermediary service industry. This paper is started from empirical research, and we tried to analysis the influence of science and technology intermediary service industry on regional innovation performance objectively, on the basis of our country’s31provinces’innovation performance. And combined with the science and technology service industry policies which promote the overall regional innovation and the high tech industry innovation, we put forward the reasonable suggestions for further development of regional innovation performance of China.We first reviewed the related theory of regional innovation system, and then analyzed the role of science and technology intermediary service industry on regional innovation performance. On this basis, this paper carried out theoretical assumptions on the science and technology intermediary service industry and regional innovation performance from two main aspects, this paper selected the panel data from31provinces in China between2003-2011, through the new logarithmic Cobb-Douglas production function to study the impact of science and technology intermediary service organization of regional knowledge innovation performance and product innovation performance. In addition, we specifically described the management of science and technology intermediary service industry in regional innovation performance implications. The paper draws the conclusion:First, there is a significant positive relationship between industrial technology intermediary service institutions number and product innovation performance of overall industry in a region; Second, the relationship between industrial technology intermediary service institutions number and product innovation performance of overall industry in a region is not significant; Third, Technology intermediary service organizations play a more positive and important role on the knowledge innovation and product innovation within high-tech industrial of regional. Finally, the policy implication of regional development on these aspects has been put forward. |
