An Analysis On Technical Efficiency And Its Influencing Effects Of Aerospace Industry In China

Aerospace industry, as a national strategic high-tech industry, reflects a country’s technical level and production capacity of the high-end equipment manufacturing industry. In 《the high-end equipment manufacturing industry "twelfth five-year" development planning》, aviation equipment, satellite and applications are included in the crucial development planning, meanwhile, it proposes to form a complete industrial chain constituted of spacecraft manufacture, application equipment, satellite service and launch services. Rapid and orderly development of aerospace industry plays an important role in the national economy construction, therefore, in order to further promote the development of the aerospace industry, strengthen its support, and drive the development of social economy,it is crucial for us to explore the efficiency of aerospace industry in China and analyze the problem. Based on the current situation of China’s space industry, this article, from the perspective of technical efficiency, using the theory of industrial economics、technical economics and institutional economics, firstly measures the efficiency of China’s space industry technology level of dynamic change. Furthermore, combined with the panel data of provinces and cities, with influencing factors, it explores the main factors that influence efficiency of aerospace industry technology, and put forward the corresponding policy recommendations according to the research conclusion. Research conclusions show that:(1)From2000to2010, the technical efficiency of China’s aerospace industry remains at low level; there is a tendency of decreasing of the annual average growth rate; the optimal output fell well short of actual output, and it remains a large space of ascension. Compared with the central and western regions, the technical efficiency level of the eastern region is higher.(2) R&D, independent innovation, enterprise scale, the degree of industry exteriorization of aerospace industry and market structure has a significant positive influence on technical efficiency level. The current domestic financial environment, however, plays an inhibitory effect on China’s aerospace industry technical efficiency.
