With the acceleration of urbanization in our country, urban space continue to expand,population are expanding rapidly, people’s way of life is changing constantly, similarly, profoundchanges have also taken place in urban commercial space, urban commercial center changesfrom the single center to polycentric, the commercial scale expands continuously, thecommercial type gradually diversified, and so on. However in the background of rapidurbanization, there are many problems in the development of urban commercial space, andbusiness planning of our country starts relatively late, with the acceleration of urbanization andcommercial space development has breakthrough the original plan, this means that planning isnot universal, business planning can’t planning to each microcosmic main body in commercialspace, in the process of the development of commercial space has an "invisible hand", namelythe self-organizing rule of commercial space. This paper introduced the development concept ofself-organization in the study of business planning, and balance the both power ofself-organization and business planning in the development of commercial space, and makesbusiness planning respect and conform to the law of self-organization in the process ofcommercial space development, improving the science and rationality of the business planning,so to get a healthy and harmonious commercial space environment under the backgroundof rapid urbanization.This paper first analyzes the self-organization and hetero organization of city commercialspace from the aspects of theory, and discusses the relationship between them.Self-organization as an "invisible hand" is working from bottom to top, it is the fundamentaldriving force of the development of the commercial space, but under the background of rapidurbanization, the self-organizing function will fail, at this moment need intervention from theexternal forces that is hetero organization, while business planning as a kind of heteroorganization mechanism, working from top to bottom, this paper studies how to balance thesetwo forces, makes the business planning conforms to the law of self-organization, and toestablish correspondence between business planning and self-organization.In empirical research, this paper takes Xiamen as an example, combing the evolution stageand characteristics of the Xiamen city commercial space development, through fieldinvestigation and deep interviews and other methods, to understand the performance ofself-organizing and hetero organization in the development of Xiamen commercial space, at thesame time in Xiamen commercial space at different stages of development, the role ofself-organization and hetero organization strength is different, finally discusses the contradictionbetween Xiamen03version of commercial network planning and realistic, and then concludedthe idea of commercial planning based on self-organization.
