In recent years, with the gradually deepening of power industry reform and the development of energy economy, power generation enterprises are facing unprecedented market opportunities and challenges. In2002, in order to break the vertically integrated monopoly pattern of grid, electric power system reform had been carried out in China. At present, there are five big power groups and the foreign capital enterprises in China. The reform promotes the development of electric power industry towards a more healthy, fair and orderly power market. Power generation enterprises tend to be competitive, transparent. In order to ensure the safety of generation equipment and improve economic efficiency, it is necessary to study on the reasonable arrangement of overhaul project schedule and combination of schedule management and cost management. How to shorten the construction period, and improve economic efficiency has become an important subject of power enterprises need solving urgently.The basic concepts of generator maintenance are firstly introduced, as well as the basic theory of project schedule management and cost management. Secondly, based on T generator maintenance schedule status, problems diagnosis of maintenance project management mode, project schedule management, cost management, safety management, quality management are analyzed. The unit maintenance schedule and cost optimization model is put forward on the basis of current situation and problems.Finally, the system supporting optimization of maintenance schedule and cost management is put forward. Based on the above research, the unit state overhaul management and cost systems of T electric power are made in order to the enterprise production operation and improve enterprise economic benefit.
