The development of dairy industry has become a important standardto measure the levelofa country’s development and modernization of food consumption.The dairy industryhave a widerange, it includes industry agriculture and animal husbandry, the production and marketing,packaging, transport and finances. The development of dairy industry, not only can promote theagriculture and animal husbandry’sstructure of production, increase farmers’ income, can also letthe food packaging industry and the transportation industry have arapid development, so it hasbeen paid more and more attention in different countries. In our country, in order to promote thenutritional value of dairy products, improve people’s diet, increase the national physique, thegovernmenthas launched a number of programs to raise awareness of the importance of the dairyindustry. Such as "student milk plan","Drinking a pound of milk every day, can help keepingChinese people stronger ", etc.From the20th century to the21st century, China’s dairy industry has changed a lot withthe time passing. Dairy production in the last of the20th century increasedfrom2million tons to38million tons by now. and our country came into the ranks of the world’s largest dairycountry.Although the total output of dairy products in the forefront of the world, but our percapita is far behind the developed countries in the world,the kinds of thedairy consumer is alsovery simple. And per capita consumption of rural residents is very low compared with urbanresidents per capita consumption. With the economic integration and China join into the WTO,theforeign dairy company had entered China, to seized the Chinese market, but in recent years the quality of China’s dairy had more and more problems, the milk company will face enormouschallenges in the future.This article to study the international competitiveness of China’s dairy industry on thebackground we have said in last paragraph.Although China has entered the ranks of dairy bigcountry, but the competitiveness of the dairy industry can not only be measured by the totalamount.We must know that China’s dairy industry is just bigger, not stronger. The first,this articleintroduces the background of the writing, the significance of the topic,the innovation and theshortcomings and the research status at home and abroad on international competitiveness. Thenext is the theoretical basis of the international competitiveness of research, including Ricardo’stheory of comparative advantage and Porter’s "diamond model".This is the basic of the behindstudy of the text. After is the current development of China’s dairy industry. Analyzes theregional distribution of the national dairy production status, consumption situation and China’scurrent milk prices. Shows the total amount of China’s dairy production is great, but the per capitais smaller.And the two typesof the national dairy production and the five areas of thenational dairy production. The chapter concludes with China’s recent dairy export data, analyzeresults of the phenomenon there is a serious deficit in the dairy trade. On the statementsof abovepapers we need tointroduce some competitiveness indicatorsto measure thecompetitiveness ofourcountry. Here we uses China’s dairy market share, trade specialization coefficient, revealedcomparative advantage index, analyze results of the international dairy market share is low andcompetitive advantage is not obvious characteristics. The fifth chapteranalysis the main factorswhich affect the competitiveness of China’s dairy industry on the basis of Porter’s "diamond model".Such as the development of the domestic market demand, related and supportingindustries, the development of corporate strategy and structure, opportunities and government andso on. The last chaptergives the major countermeasuresto enhance the internationalcompetitiveness of China’s dairy. It is divided into two main areas to discuss. From their ownperspective, our milk prices should be building large pastures and milk base, training and reserveswith advanced technology and management experience in complex talent, enterprise developmentmode transformation, optimizing industrial structure, and so on. From the government perspective,our government should do more to boost domestic demand, such as increasing the level of income,increasing urbanization rate and a reasonable guide people’s dietary habits; support incentives andpolicy loans and other aspects of the tax on; perfect dairy milk, production, transportation andsale of various aspects of quality supervision system, so that people consume dairy products to beassured.In this paper, we use the qualitative and quantitative analysis method in the writingprocess to study the international competitiveness of China’s dairy industry. In the quantitativeanalysis, I find the data and informationas far as possible in recent years to ensure theanalysismore timely and convincing.
