The Impact Of Enterprise Knowledge Absorptive Capacity On Incubating Enterprise Performance

Abstract:Knowledge absorptive capacity is the important foundation of organizational learning, and organizational innovation and performance is an important output of organizational learning. This article analyzes the organizational ambidexterity,which refers to exploration innovation and exploitation innovation,from the perspectives of technological innovation. Ambidextrous organization is a kind of new organizational pattern of facing with climate change. The incubation enterprises in China is being in the complicated and changeable environment now, so that how to choose or weigh the enterprise’s knowledge absorptive capacity in order to achieve the explorative innovation and exploitative innovation of the enterprises reasonably is of great significance to the promotion of the incubation enterprise’s performance. Therefore, based on basic theories, such as knowledge absorptive capacity, organizational ambidexterity and organizational performance, drawing lessons from existing relevant research achievements, this article put knowledge absorptive capacity, organizational ambidexterity and organizational performance into a research framework, and put forward a conceptual model of the incubation enterprise’s performance, which puts organizational ambidexterity as a intermediate variable and makes knowledge absorptive capacity affect the incubation enterprise’s performance.Besides, the article puts the questionnaire investigation of incubation enterprises in chang-zhu-tan region, Xiamen and the pearl river delta region as the research sample, through using the statistical software,for example SPSS17.0, Amos17.0,to analyze the collected data, and discusses the mechanism how potential knowledge absorptive capacity and the actual knowledge absorptive capacity influence the incubation enterprise performance in detail from the view of organizational ambidexterity.The empirical results show that, both of the potential and the real knowledge absorptive capacity play a positive role in exploitative and explorative innovation.But the potential one have a greater positive impact on exploitative innovation,while the real one on explorative innovation. In addition, explorative innovation play a positive role in growth and innovation performance of incubating enterprise, while a negative role in financial performance. Exploitative innovation have a positive impact on the performance of growth and finance,while a negative role in innovation performance.
