Development Strategy Of Kiwifruit Industry In Shaanxi Province

The kiwifruit is the characteristic industry of Shaanxi, also the competitive industry.With the fruits in foreign continue entering the domestic market, as well as the appearance ofkiwifruit production areas in Hunan Province, Jiangxi Province and so on, the development ofShaanxi’s kiwifruit industry is confronted with competitions from domestic and foreignmarkets. Based on the comparative advantages, this paper analyzes the problems of kiwifruitindustrial development strategy in Shaanxi Province. The results of this study will promotesustainable development of kiwifruit industry, and help increase farmer’s income. It is of greattheoretical and practical significance.This paper applies the method of literature review, field survey method, quantitative andqualitative analysis methods. It conducts the analysis of present situation of kiwifruitproduction in Shaanxi Province from producing, storing, processing, marketing and profits,indicating the serious problems of kiwifruit industrial development in Shaanxi Province, inorder to establish strategic plan for Shaanxi kiwifruit industrial development. Furthermore, itproposes the measures to guarantee the strategy implementation of kiwifruit industry inShaanxi Province.The research findings are as follows. First, by means of field survey and comparativeanalysis, with natual resources advantages and the special demands of soil of kiwifruitindustry, this study puts forward the plan to build industrial areas in northern parts in QinlingMounts and Qinba Mounts, which will expand the development space of kiwifruit industry inShaanxi Province. Second, this paper points out eight problems in development of kiwifruitindustry in Shaanxi Province, for example, unbalance of regional distribution, single breedstructure, low cultivation management level, low productive standardization, sluggish in baseconstruction and authentication and supervision, lag development of science and technicaltraining, low level of industrialization and organization, less investment and support for theindustry, poor ability and less share in market expanding, imperfect system of agriculturalproducts circulation. Third, strategic thoughts, basic principles and developing focus ofdevelopment of kiwifruit industry in Shaanxi Province are highlighted in this paper. Fourth,this paper presents the measures to guarantee the development of kiwifruit industry inShaanxi Province from the perspectives of optimizing breed layout structure, boosting standardized production, establishing supervision system, enhancing technical training andscientific innovation, promoting industrialized operation, increasing funding and tax policysupport, expanding fruit markets at home and abroad, and improving the construction ofkiwifruit market circulation system.
