A Study On The Reason And Path Of Pearl River Delta Industry Transformation And Upgrading

Financial crisis had brought unprecedented difficulties to the OEA industry inPRD, making the companies who are heavily dependent on global value chain leadingby international demand and multinational companies failure, PRD appeared closures.Exogenous economic restructured to achieve industrial upgrading must pay attentionto the international division of labor form and upgrading path under global valuechain. However, the traditional researches ignored from the perspective of productionand consumption to analysis the motivation of PRD industrial transformation andupgrading under the GVC, and not focused on the PRD upgrade path fromquantitative analysis.This paper build a theoretical framework from the GVC perspective, not onlyanalyzes the dynamics position of China in GVC, while in-depth analysis GVCintegration leading by production and consumption adjustment brings opportunitiesand challenges to developing countries, combined with the qualitative andquantitative analysis to explore the motivation of PRD industrial transformation andupgrading. Results show that the industry height in GVC decide the effects of thePRD industrial transformation and upgrading, in the theoretical and empirical showthat implement the ascension of the PRD in the GVC and industry upgradingtransformation action is needed.On the basis of theoretical research and empirical analysis results, this paperclearly put forward upgrade path of traditional industries and emerging industries inthe Pearl River Delta, at the same time focus on the GVC adjustment and integrationdynamic to view the global market opportunities and undertake service outsourcingindustry.
