With China’s entry into WTO, the large and medium-sized manufacturingenterprises should not only face domestic industry competition, but also worryabout the unprecedented challenges of overseas well-known enterprises. Theenterprises would only have choices: either to meet challenge and innovate, or beeliminated by the market economy of the rapid development. Therefore, theenterprises only by constantly meeting the rapidly changing market demand andcontinuously shortening the product development cycles, to innovation anddevelopment, improve the core competitive capacity of the enterprises. ERP orthe other information management systems upgrading the core competitive forceof the enterprise and the great effect of rapid strain capacity have been widelyaccepted by the enterprises. The enterprises’ competition is evolved forenterprises’ information management competition. The enterprises informationmanagement’ application is good or bad, and it will directly affect the enterprisein a constantly changing market competition. Therefore, the setting up anduseing ERP system of the enterprises has become the urgent demand of theenterprise core;how to succeed the implementation of the ERP system hasbecome the top issue to the enterprise.This article mainly through the method of searching the relevant literatureand the combination analysis way of the theory and practice, the writer study theprocess of implementing ERP system on the Harbin Dongan Auto Engine Co.,Ltd. The first part of this paper, it mainly introduces relevant background、significance and the present situation and the development of the ERP system athome and abroad, as well as discusses the development stage and the role of ERPsystem in the enterprise,and the implementation methodology and plan of theERP;The second part, it mainly analyses the internal and external conditions ofthe specific company, and put forward the necessity and feasibility of theapplication of the ERP system;The third part, using the method of combiningtheory with practice, it explains the planning and processes of implementing theERP system, discusses importantly the key elements and analyses the steps ofimplementing the ERP system;The fourth part, it mainly introduces the plan of business process and organization structure reengineering, researches thedetailed step of building the ERP system. Finally, this paper summarizes theresearch conclusion and analyzes the disadvantages in it.Through the combination of the experience accumulated in my work and thetheoretical knowledge, this article intends to help others to implement ERPsystem in enterprises and provide references for the related personnel, andcompensate a little for the lack of the research articles to the application of theERP system in actual situation.
