Xi ’an Study On The Relationship Between The Land Use Structure And Industrial Structure

Regional industrial structure not only supports the regional economic growth, and to alarge extent determines the ability and potential of regional economic growth. It is the mainfeature of urbanization, and the main driving force and real power to promote the evolutionof land use structure. The evolution of regional land use structure is the material basis ofindustrial restructuring, they two promote each other. Only to ensure coordinated developmentof these two factors, can we ensure the sustained and rapid development of the nationaleconomy.This article takes Xi’an city as an example in order to explore the succession mechanismand internal relations between land use structure and industrial structure. It has importantpractical significance for the current macro-control of land.By collecting2003-2012time series of urban land use and industrial structure data andusing the relevant economic theory and method of data analysis, this article tries to explorethe characteristics and rules of the evolution of land use structure and industrial structure during the pastdecade, and reveal the linkage between the two laws. Then it uses the grey forecasting model tomake a scientific forecast of the industrial structure of the next five years. At last, it putforward the related policy suggestions for the optimization of industrial structure andadjusting the structure of land use.Main conclusions are as follows:(1)The industrial structure and land use structure have changed from2003to2012.The industrial structure in Xi’an city has been showing a "Tertiary, Secondary,Primary"pattern since1990.The driven effects of competitive industries are not obvious. Landuse structure changed significantly in the past decade, mainly reflected in the largest increaseof transportation land, a large increase of urban village and industrial land and reduction ofarable land and orchards.(2) There is a strong correlation between industrial structure and land use structure.Industrial structure and land use structure in Xi’an city show a strong correlation, therefore,we should take this correlation into consideration in later adjustment of industrial structureand land structure in order to achieve effective allocation and coordinated developmentof industrial layout and land resources.(3)Changes in industrial structure lagged behind the changes in land structure after2007.After2007, changes in industrial structure lagged behind the changes in the structure of land use.This is due to the adjustment of industrial structure is not promptly with the speed of changesin land use structure. (4) It predicts the added value of the secondary and tertiary industry will increasegradually from2013to2017.The proportion of the added value of the secondary and tertiary industry in the total outputvalue will increase gradually, and the article also found positive correlation between thesecondary and tertiary industry and woodland, grassland and transportation land.(5)The efficiency of industrial structure and land use structure in Xi’an still needsfurther optimization.The index of E is0.7831, it ranks grade Ⅱ.Land use structure and industrialdevelopment tends to be more reasonable, but there is still room for further optimization.(6) Policy recommendations.Combining with the city location and functions, in the future development of Xi’an City,the correlation between land use structure and industrial structure should be taken intoconsideration in the land supply.
