The predecessor of JL oil-technology service company is one of the HQ’s headcompanies in1999. It brought about whole offshore supervisor team, logisticsservice and office staff that are all integrated from regional company intosubordinate industrial company after it was re-organized and listed. All kind ofsupervisors that service for oil-field take a role as backbone personnel duringestablish the JL oil-technology service company (hereinafter referred to as JLcompany) according to the HQ’s secondary units restructuring thought in Jan2005.JL company as a business branch mainly supply the supervisor&workovertechnology, oilfield tool service, multifunctional offshore platform andenvironmental protection service during drilling and completion, also is the pillar(core) industry of the secondary corporation.This essay mainly involves that the study background, research purpose, andintroduce the research status domestic and abroad, meanwhile, elaborate thecorporate strategy and strategic management. Practically, the author combinespersonal work-experience with actual situation of company, and utilize PEST model,analyze the strategic and macro-environment of JL company from four differentperspectives that politics, economics, social culture and technology condition.Eventually, through the analysis of the macroeconomic environment, come to aconclusion that macroeconomic environment means more chance than challenge tothe development of JL. And current macroeconomic environment is overall good foroil corporations, so JL just need firmly catch opportunities to keep developing andstrength its industry under this circumstance. It can be discovered that thecompetitive power of JL is middle level after analyzing the competitiveness andcompetitor in this field by Michael Porter’s Five Forces Model, so measures asimprove the technology level, focus on differentiation development strategy,enhance the company’s core competitiveness are all in need. Figure out feasiblestrategy and development prospect with the help of external&internal factorevaluation matrix tool and SWOT matrix tool. Strengthen the core competitivenessof JL, establish industry system with what support the company’s sustainabledevelopment, and improve the technology and tool innovation ability withindependent intellectual property. Eventually, make JL to be a technology servicecompany which can provide value-added services for clean energy.
