As a representation of the service provider for e-commerce in China, Alibaba is an internationally competitive enterprise group facing the crossroad of strategic transformation. The current development situation of Alibaba and its motivation of internationalization are systematically analyzed in the third chapter. Then in the fourth chapter the strategic environment of Alibaba is analyzed in the paradigm of SWOT to present some basic support for the strategic planning. In chapter five and six, the whole strategic system of Alibaba’s internationalization is built up basing on the results of former analysis, which includes strategic targets, strategic periods and tactics in strategic implementation.As a new category of services, e-commerce is performing a fast development leading to a bright anticipation. The internationalization of Alibaba has a symbolic significance for the openness of China’s services. Nevertheless, it will play a positive role to accelerate the internationalization of CHY to build an international online-trade platform. |
