The world famous marketing research organization IDC issue the latest research report, the report indicate that Electronics Manufacturing Service industry revenue increased 17% globally and achieved $268.1B revenue in 2007.This is the highst revenue for Electronics Manufacturing Service.Meantime, Original Design Manufaturing industry revenue continuously increase significantly with 23% in 2007,while Electronics Manufacturing Service still account for 60% revenue of Original Design Manufaturing. The reason of this industry increased so much is due to Original Design Manufaturing company outsource and move more production basis to China.In addition, China as the biggest Electronics Manufacturing Service market will continuously keep 15% revenue grow rate in the coming few years which is three times increasing rate of 5% grow rate in the other countries.This thesis is a study of the EMS giant Y’wholly-owned enterprises which was set up in China in 2000. This company’s main products are global communication, the computer, medical related products and daily electronic products. The company also provides innovative designs and is a first-class manufacturing service supplier for the automobile, manufacturing, medical and the technology sector.EMS is an intensely competitive industry which yields very lower margins. The international giant electronic companies like Apple, MSFT outsource the manufacture process to EMS companies and only focus on new product innovation/development, this is to prove EMS market fierce competition. In recent years, many global giant manufacturing companies have shifted to China, an emerging developing country. Meantime, with the expansion of the local EMS business, the competition is now more intense than ever. Also, with the recent development in the macro economic environment, the impact to the business will be even more detrimental. How to expand markets, increase market share and corporate profits effectively has become an urgent need to Y Company, how to choose an appropriate competitive strategy for Y Company to continue to develop steadily in China is of great significant.The research objective is:Through the thorough analysis of Y Company strategy programming, Ensuring effective enterprise competition strategy-Cost Control Strategy and Customer Focus Variety Strategy is the milestone of Y Company grow steadily in the intensive EMS industry & also to provide some valuable references & experiences to the other EMS companies.The method of the research is the assumption demonstration study and the demonstration study of the problems-oriented.The main results of the research are to verify Y Company strategy choice in the complicate situation today. How to guarantee Y core strategy-Cost Control Strategy and Customer Focus Variety Strategy excute efficiently in Y Company, this is to ensure that Y Company continuously grow rapidly in the market.
