Warehouses always are important nodes of logistic networks. Now, China’s storage industry is in a transition phase from traditional warehousing to modern warehousing. In future, The storage industry will step to a rapid development stage. Modern warehouse is a new type of warehouse which can provide more value-added services, such as packaging, processing reverse logistics, delivery service, more than storage. The study on traditional warehouse focus on the planning of Storage area. But in the modern warehouse there are different area for different function. The planning on modern warehouse includes two parts, the one is to find a solution to facility layout problem, the other is to make warehouse workflow smooth and make resources in rational allocation. After all, the study on planning of warehouse has practical guidance value.The paper take TJ warehouse as an example to make study on planning and design of modern warehouses. TJ warehouse is a warehouse which is just in stage of planning. TJ warehouse mainly rely on the CQ Railway Logistics Park, CQ electronic industrial park and TJ Railway Freight Station. According to planning, the TJ warehouse will provide integrated logistics service based on storage service.After studying the research of facility layout, simulation technology and Optimization algorithm, this thesis firstly concern to apply SLP theory and Flexsim simulation technology to the planning of TJ warehouse. Secondly, based on the goals and project background of TJ warehouse, have design the workflow of TJ. And then, according to the workflow, divides the TJ warehouse into 12 functional areas, estimates the area requirements of each functional areas.Thirdly, setting the resolution of layout scheme as the core, it makes a throughout research on the layout model and algorithm of facility layout problem. The troditional SLP layout model always takes manual method to get the solution which has been influenced by some subjective factors, such as planners’s experiences or knowledge.under the help of computer technology, this article has tried to use traditional SLP layout model to build mathematical model, use PSO theory to get the facility layout solution. And then, adjust the layout solution within effect logistic flow or the logistics aisle. The mathematical model has contained two optimization objectives, one is seeking a minimum minimum logistics intensity, and the other is seeking a maxmum non-logistic relationship. At the same time, compares the handing-painted layout scheme by the SLP metod and the layout scheme by mathematical model, in the two solutions, the relative positions of functional areas almost is same, it can verify that the mathermatical model by reference traditional SLP layout model is feasible. At last, use modern virtual simulation technology, such as Flexsim technology, to evaluate the planning of TJ warehouse, and find the optimal planning which is better on resource allocation, warehouse flexible.The paper seek to apply the logistics knowledge into practice. Under the combination of theory and computer-aided technologies, to provide the solution of warehouse’s facility layout, resources allocation, hoping to provide references on warehouse’s planning.
