With the development of economy, the rise of e-commerce and the appearance of new consumption patterns, online shopping is becoming more and more accepted by the public. Driven by the interests, the online shopping platforms carry out large-scale discount promotion activities to goods on sale in a specific period of time, then the consumers place orders by being attracted by the price strategy, so that the orders increase rapidly resulting in a large number of packages. At the same time, the logistics company’s low efficiency, limited storage capacity, the fact that the logistics supply is far less than the demand of logistics within a short time, lead to a large number of packages’hoarding in the warehouse without sorting and delivery in time. It can be seen that, warehouse explosion is essentially the packages’hoarding in the logistics network nodes as a result of the fact that the logistics supply is far less than the demand of logistics within a short time. In this paper, the warehouse explosion is caused by the peak of online shopping.S Express Company is the regional express sorting and distribution center. It renders services of express receiving, sorting, storage and delivery. The entire work process will be carried out in the company’s own warehouse. In order to facilitate the study, this paper will define the storage service provided by the Express S is made up of three parts that are packages’receiving, sorting and delivering. During the explosion, due to the low efficiency of warehouse work and the limited storage capacity, the traditional work process cannot meet the logistics demand surging in a short period of time, and that will lead to the decline of the consumer’s degree of satisfaction of logistics.Hence, there is a great significance to optimize the warehouse service.To optimize the warehouse and distribution service of Express S by using Flexsim, this paper choose to improve customer satisfaction as the main target, and to reduce the blocking rate as the second target. This paper takes the system operation time as the index of the customer satisfaction. This paper takes the packages’ residence time in the warehouse as the index of the blocking rate. Through the continuous optimization of the model, this paper puts forward three solutions:First, if it improves 17%of the satisfaction, increases the number of workers or to rent intelligent sorting equipment. If it improves 25% of the satisfaction, increases the daily frequency of delivery. For reducing the blocking rate, it would expand the maximum storage capacity of the warehouse. Through the continuous optimization, the paper completes the optimization of the warehousing operation system. It also offers references for other enterprises in this industry.
