With the investigation and analysis to the production management of CA company, three main problems that cause the result to late delivery and failing to meet customer’s requirements were found, that is long lead time, unreasonable production plan and insufficient management to raw materials. Long lead time is caused by long confirming process of sample development and final production specs. What is more, the production plan management in each workshop is in a push-forward type which fails to create a quick feedback system of issues which happen in the last several procedures. Unreasonable production plan mainly lies in failing to consider all the production elements in each workshop. As a result, it is always affected and can not be achieved because of one bottle-neck process. Meanwhile, there is quite little information management in production plan which still stays at a stage of figure management in spreadsheet way. Within this old mode, information missing and conflicting figures are quite common in the whole process. These are also the reasons for incorrect stock figure, untimely plan and late delivery. Insufficient management to raw materials are mainly caused by no following up to the actual production usage of raw materials after they are calculated out and purchased based on sample usage. When many orders are produced at the same time, issues such as incorrect stock figure of semi-finish goods, finished goods, missing of monitoring system on warehousing and wastage are also quite outstanding.Based on theories of JIT production, lean production, agile manufacturing and total quality management, SAP production management system is introduced into the whole production, trying to set up a pull management. With the help of SAP production management system, barcode scanning system will be used to create a mutual information platform for raw materials, semi-finished goods, finished goods and production progress. This can help to eliminate issues such as insufficient raw material supply, high wastage to the greatest extent. At the same time, this system can also ensure a timely information transfer to relevant staffs and precise tracking to usage of raw materials, warehousing of semi-finished and finished goods which finally achieves the goal of optimizing the production management of CA company.
