In the party’s eighteen raised in the report, the transformation of economic development has made significant progress. On the basis of enhanced in balance, coordination and sustainability, GDP and per capita income of rural residents in 2010 than doubled. Income growth of specific quantitative targets, this was the first time in the party’s history. From the total economy to changes in per capita income, shows the adjustment of China’s governing philosophy. From a focus on the grand total, turning to micro-individual care, economic and social development goals will become more balanced and sustainable. The fruits of development will also be more equitably benefit every citizen. However, revenue growth is not a simple digital works. Rural residents in western China, due to weak economic foundation, restrict natural resource endowments, quality of human resources, geographical location and traffic and other factors; it is difficult to catch up with the national average income of farmers in the short term. Thus, this paper first studies the status quo in the western region of farmers’ income, income structure and the factors that affect revenue growth; and then analyzes the way to double income. This is of great significance to further improve their living standards, fully completed higher levels of well-off society, expanding domestic demand transformation of economic development, building a harmonious society in rural areas, to ensure the realization of the party and the government’s grand strategic objectives.By analyzing the 2000 to 2013 in the western region of farmers income growth changes, income structure and the various parts of the contribution of total revenue, confirmed in 2020 doubled the income of farmers in the western region can be realized. However, farmers’ income absolute gap between the western region and the country is still large. Therefore, in the process of achieving the western region of rural residents’ income doubling goal, must also take effective policy measures to bridge the income gap between urban and rural areas in the western region, between the rural countryside of the west and the east. The analysis also shows that China’s western region of farmers’ income mainly comes from the family business income and wage income. In recent years, the proportion of family business income showed a declining trend, although, it is still the largest source of income of the farmers in the western region and is the most dependent on the source of income. While the proportion of wage income rising in recent years, is the most promising part of the future income of farmers. On this basis, we use principal component regression model to study the important factor of two major sources of income. The results show that the effective irrigation area, government investment in agriculture, the annual total mechanical power has a significant positive impact on family business income, and the first industrial labor has a negative impact on the family business income. Regional GDP per capita, the ratio of the industrial structure, cultural level of farmers and the urbanization rate has a significant positive impact on wage income. The proportion of property income and transfer income is not big, but it is an important supplement to increase farmers’ income. Therefore, this paper also analyzes the important factors of property income and transfer income. Finally, according to the analysis results, it makes suggestions to effectively promote the western region of farmers’ income.
