Throughout the global economy, entrepreneurship has become an important part of economic growth, whether in developed countries or in developing countries. Therefore, entrepreneurship plays an important role in economic development. At the same time, many studies have found that the mode of entrepreneurial team is used more and more in current entrepreneurship. The reason is that entrepreneurial team can incorporate members’ skills, experience and knowledge as a whole, and increase entrepreneurial resources, thus it can improve the business success rate and performance.Numerous studies have shown that the performance of complementary entrepreneurial team is higher than similar entrepreneurial team. The reason is that complementary teams have diverse skills and experience, different education background and cognitive perspectives, so they can be able to make high quality decisions quickly. However, some scholars think team composition heterogeneity may cause conflict between members, so they put forward that the entrepreneurial team composition heterogeneity has a negative effect on entrepreneurial performance. As we can see, due to differences in research perspective, about how the entrepreneurial team composition heterogeneity affects entrepreneurial performance is not to achieve consistent results. Comprehensive scholars’views, we can get two points:(1) Entrepreneurial team composition heterogeneity can provide team with diverse cognitive perspective, diverse functions experiences and so on, so as to improve the speed and quality of decision-making, improve the team’s innovation ability and creativity, improve business performance; (2)Entrepreneurial team composition heterogeneity can lead to conflict within the team, reduce the quality of team communication and cohesion, and thus is not conducive to business performance improvement. Then, in the model between entrepreneurial team heterogeneity and venture performance, introducing the team conflict variable, we can conclude the overall effect. Therefore, it is significant to research these three variables:venture team heterogeneity, team conflict, and venture performance.Firstly, this article reviews the literature of venture team heterogeneity, team conflict, and performance of the entrepreneurship. And on the basis of predecessors’ research, I define these three variables’definition and dimension. Then according to the theory, this paper constructs the theoretical model between the three variables, and puts forward the research hypothesis. Next, in order to verify this hypothesis, I analyze the data obtained from questionnaire survey by SPSS 19.0, and results show that the age, education background and functional background heterogeneity has significant effect on entrepreneurial performance, and the collaborative conflict and competitive conflict have significant adjustment function on the relationship between age, education background and functional background heterogeneity and performance of the business. Finally, I come to this research conclusion of this paper, and put forward the related advice of team building, and point out the limitations of the study and future research direction.
