An Empirical Analysis Of Influencing Factors On Farmers’ Income Growth In Ziyang City

Three-dimensional Rural Issues has always been the priority work of both the Party and the government, and the increase of farmers’ income is the crucial points of Three-dimensional Rural Issues. Whether it is in the past, current or future, the difficult of increasing farmers’ income is most outstanding in the Middle West less developed area. As a city located in the hilly area of Sichuan province, with a large rural population and weak development of agriculture, how to increase farmers’ income has long been an important subject of the local Party committee and government of Ziyang City, and it’s also a urgent need to solve the Three-dimensional Rural Issues and to build a harmonious relationship between urban and rural areas.Based on analyzing the domestic scholars’ research on farmers’ income, and according to the actual situations, this article analyzes farmers’ income in thirteen years of Ziyang City from horizontal and vertical two aspects. It tries to identify the major factors affecting increasing farmers’ income and to reveal problems existing in the process of increasing farmers’ income of Ziyang City. This article analyzes the income potential from wage income, the net income of family management, property net income and net transfer. Finally, according to the actual situations of Ziyang city, this article puts forward seven proposals for rapidly increasing farmers’ income from adjusting agricultural structure, strengthening the construction of rural market system, increasing employment opportunities for farmers, optimizing self employment conditions, improving the cultural quality of the farmers, speeding up the rural land reform and strengthening the social security system in rural areas.
