Research On Land Comprehensive Carrying Capacity Of Lanzhou New District

Land resources are the most basic resources, land resources which are not only the material foundation of human survival and development, but also the most basic security of economic society.Lanzhou New District which was built in Qin Wangchuan traditional agricultural areas is a new pattern. In the face of objective issues such as harsh natural environment, serious ecological damage, the urgent unsolved problem is how to coordinate the relationship between urban development with the population, ecological, economic and resources. The comprehensive carrying capacity of land resources have a directly important impact on the scale of development in Lanzhou New District. Regarding Lanzhou New District comprehensive carrying capacity of land resources as the research objective, we can expand evaluation of comprehensive carrying capacity of land resources in Lanzhou New District from some aspects such as resources, ecological environment and social economy.According to the study which related to the theory of land bearing capacity, we combined with the local practical circumstance, consulted relevant experts, then we used the combination of theoretical research, empirical analysis and the methods of the qualitative analysis on the evaluating indicator. Finally we constructed the evaluating indicator system of the comprehensive carrying capacity of land resources in Lanzhou New District. The system includes three levels:the target layer, the criterion layer and the index layer. In terms of criterion layer, there are three subsystems:society, ecological environmental protection and economy. Each subsystem includes the repeated screening and comparison of 4-5 representative indicators, a total of 13. Based on these, we should launch the research evaluation on the comprehensive carrying capacity of land resources in Lanzhou New District at each stage of development, before the construction, at the early stage of construction, and in the construction of long term respectively, then we can analyze.The research results show that before the construction in Lanzhou New District, the comprehensive carrying capacity of land resources is 0.2968 in 2012; In the early years of construction, the comprehensive carrying capacity of land resources is 0.2981 in 2013; After two years of construction, the comprehensive carrying capacity of land resources is greatly improved in 2014, which is 0.5081 belong to the medium level; In the mid-2020. the land comprehensive carrying capacity is 0.5495 which belongs to medium level; In late 2030, the land comprehensive carrying capacity reaches to 0.6913, we realize the advance of land comprehensive carrying capacity from the low level to the high level. In the early years of urban construction, we have drawn a conclusion through the obstacle factor methods, the main factors which restrict the development are the city’s economic subsystems, especially ecological environmental protection subsystem in the later period.Finally, based on the evaluations of the comprehensive carrying capacity of land resources in Lanzhou New District, factors which restrict the development of the cities can be found out, suggestions and countermeasures can be put forward to improve the comprehensive carrying capacity of land resources. And we should promote the built of urban ecological environment, control the population in the world, improve population quality, protect the cultivated land and force the development of the surrounding countryside, build a new reserve granary for the New District’s development, establish a new pattern of water-saving city, which has a certain significant role for the future development of Lanzhou New District.
