It was since 2008, monetary crisis, the European debt crisis followed close on another, Growing demand on the international market downturn and on the other hand, a sharp price rise of raw materials, labor cost increased dramatically the same time, those factors make the profit margins within the consumer electronics industry more competitive. As a leading electronics contract manufacturer in the world, company P has more pressures too, such as, increasingly high customer quality requirements, price cuts demanded of each quarter; shorter and shorter product life cycle.The eventually target of enterprise operating is pursuit profit maximize, lean production, which stems from Toyota company has been confirmed the strong tools to elimination waste, increase value the same time. It is of great significance of a company to introduce lean production on increasing profit. In economic downturn of macro-environment, P company’s headquarters also early realized the importance of lean production, they believe that it was necessary to introduce Lean production.Firstly this paper analyzes the background of lean production, then illustrates the concept of lean manufacturing and development history, the significant ideas of lean manufacturing, with an emphasis on analysis of waste understanding and useful tools. This paper introduces the general circumstance of P, then, expounds the backgrounds of lean production implementing, through the analysis of the P company major problems existing in the production system, the necessity and feasibility to carry out lean manufacturing has been described; Combined with economy background and characteristics of their own business, creatively raised the rules of lean production in an enterprise; including the purpose of lean implementation, selection of projects, implementing steps, membership requirements and the evaluation of the results, the rules provides guiding principles and The implementation basis to subsidiary of P branch company, then this paper discussed the implementing of lean manufacturing in detail, from the improvement team establishing to holding a variety of lean activities, and then, elaborates the implementing of lean production in P, including assembly line optimization of productivity improvement, PCBA material replenishment system and the workflow optimization of project team.Finally this thesis summarizes the results P achieved since the company introduced lean manufacturing, then, combined with the company’s current status, raised three issues of more challenging.
