The Influence Research Of FDI On Science And Technology Service Industry Development

In the context of economic globalization and knowledge economy, manufacturing-dominant traditional economy is not suitable for the development of times, modern service economy based on service industry has become new options of many countries to promote the economy development steadily and continuously. As an important part of modern service industry, by using modern science and technology knowledge, modern technology and modern analytical methods to provide intelligence services to the society, science and technology service industry has become one of the most tightly connected field between science technology and economy, which is of vital importance to economy development, reflecting a nation’s modernization level and comprehensive competitive power. Therefore, nowadays each country attaches great importance to develop its own science and technology service industry to improve national power and economic competitive power. With the development and progress of science and technology, high content knowledge and technical in science and technology service industry is developing to become a pillar industry of the service sector. In recent years, we have a fast growth rate in using FDI.FDI will bring a series effect to our science and technology service industry, so there has a great strategic significance to know about it.First, this paper based on the theories of FDI and science and technology service industry defines the concept of science and technology service industry, including investigate and test development service, professional and technical service, science and technology exchange and promotion service, geological prospecting industry, information transmission industry, computer and software service. This paper also analyses the current situation of science and technology service industry and FDI inflowing it, and explains the strength and weakness of it. At the same time, we analyses the positive and negative influences of FDI on our country’s science and technology service industry. Second, this paper analyses the output effect, technical progress and employment effect by using empirical analysis and econometric methods. We come to a conclusion that FDI has a significant influence on output and technical progress, while not significant on employment. Third, combining with the situation of science and technology service industry and FDI inflowing it, this paper puts forward relevant policy suggestions. At last, this paper points out research conclusions and future research direction and provides reference value for further study of science and technology service industry and its FDI.
