Study On The Correlation Of Job Quality And The Level Of Economic Development

Employment is vital to people’s livelihood, employment problem is related to everyone, and affects the development of each country. To fundamentally solve the employment problem of our country, we should pay more attention to the quality of employment.So far, scholars think about the quality of employment study has profound theoretical and practical significance. But, whether we need to improve the quality of employment in our country at present, this needs us to clear up two questions. First, we should know that the actual condition of China’s current employment quality. Second, we should know that the improvement of employment quality how to affect economic development. In this article, we will strive to solve the two problems, to provide theoretical foundation and reference basis for our country.In this article, fist of all, we establish the index system of employment quality and evaluate the employment quality in China. On the basis of domestic and international research on the employment quality, and based on the related theory, we define the concept of the quality of employment. Then, we respectively establish the employment quality index system from the micro level and macro level. According to the established index system, using the method of principal component analysis and cluster analysis to evaluate the quality of employment in our country, we find that the overall employment quality is low and there are considerable, differences between different regions. And we assume that a high employment quality can promote the economic development.Secondly, this paper expounds the mechanism of employment quality influence economic development. We discuss the mechanism of employment quality how to affect the economic development from three aspects, employment quality influence human capital accumulation, employment quality influence employee behavior and employment quality influence the labor market.Third, we make an empirical analysis of the correlation between employment quality and economic development. We select the per capita GDP, the GDP index and the proportion of the tertiary industry to comprehensively reflect the economic development. Using the principal component regression, we find that the employment quality have a positive impact on economic development. And using the canonical correlation analysis, we find that the significant positive correction between the employment quality and the economic development.Finally, based on the above conclusion, we put forward the countermeasures and suggestions to improve the quality of employment in our country. We need to improve labor rewards’ proportion in the gross domestic product (GDP), and narrow the income gap. We should create employment opportunity strengthen and improve the public employment service. Our country need to build a wide coverage and high level of social security system. We need to control and prevent the occupational disease, to ensure the safety of labor. And we should properly handle problems of labor relations, build harmonious labor relations.
