Research On China’s Food Security From The Perspective Of Scientific Outlook On Development

Food security is the basic safeguard of social and national development. Without food, this strategic material’s supporting, surviving and living cannot be guaranteed, not even to say social and national development. From this aspect, food security is crucial to develop economy and society. Food security does need to be concerned and paid attention to in the whole development process.This paper will analyze food security issue from the latest research of food security in domestic and oversea, along with illustrating the connotation of Scientific Outlook on Development and combining with the main content and importance of food security. To sum up:it can be got that food security relies on development; core content of food security is people oriented; basic requirement of food security is comprehensive, balanced and sustainable development. In the aspect of establishing and implementing food security, overall planning and all-round consideration is the basic approach.Since the Founding of new China, food security has made great strides. Production has grown steadily and food demand is safeguarded. Under this background, food security needs to consider about how to achieve all-around and sustainable development.Under the Scientific Outlook on Development, there are still so many challenges for food safety issue of China. Food security faces great pressure from different factors, like rapid growth of population, restriction from resources and environment, imbalance development of agriculture, weak infrastructure and so on. At the same time, along with technology development, food security also faces bigger opportunities.In China, food security must be concerned and strengthened. Correspondingly some countermeasures should be taken, like adhere to improve food’s production capacity, strengthen macroeconomic regulation, improve the environment, adjust food industry structure etc.Food security must be put in the strategic position of China’s development process. it not only affects economy development, but also determines the social stability and national independence. This is why the Central Party and the State Council always put food security in the prominent position. China should continually take the scientific development as the guideline, guarantee food security, strengthen the construction of food security and provide basic supporting for achieving the goal of a better-off society.
