Based on theoretical analysis of Institution Change and Regional Economic Growth, adopting a combination of Exploratory Spatial Statistical Analysis and Econometric Models, applying Economic Growth Model containing spatial factors, selecting five variables of Institution Change (urbanization, market-oriented, finance, Openness and government regulation), according to 1978-2012 panel data of 31 provinces of China, This paper does spatial statistical analysis and studies direct and indirect contribution of Institution Change to Regional Economic Growth. Thus, we can provide theoretical reference for the coordinated development of Regional Economic Growth.ESDA shows that China’s Institution Change and Regional Economic Growth have significant spatial agglomeration characteristics. Spatial effects can not be ignored in the research of relationship between Institution Change and Regional Economic Growth. There must be bias in the results obtained by the ignorance of spatial factors of traditional economic model measurement; The influence of Institution Change on the spatial panel data model of capital and technology factors was significant, indicating that the factors of capital and technology of production can be explained by Institution Change and Institution Change can promote the accumulation of capital and improve the level of technology. The indirect contribution of Institution Change on economic growth is significant. The results of the existing research which neglected its indirect effects are bound to underestimate the role of Institution Change. In this paper, the research is mainly divided into six parts. The introduction part pointed out that the research method of the article, ideas and basic frames based on reviewing the relevant research literature domestic and overseas and summarizing the current research problems. The second part is the theoretical research and data preparation, mainly expounding the system vicissitude the influence mechanism of Institution change on regional economic growth and setting up the index system of Institution change. The third part launches a Exploratory Spatial Institution Analysis of the institution change in our country, measuring the classification system of Institution change in China and comprehensive system variables and analyzing its characteristics of spatial difference. On the basis, we do the research of both local and global relevance of China’s Institution change. The context of the fourth is essentially similar to the third part. It measures spatial difference of Regional Economic Growth and does spatial statistical analysis. The fifth part is on the basis of the analysis of the previous two chapters. Based on the spatial econometric models (spatial cross section data model or spatial panel data model), it empirically estimates the impact on Regional Economic Growth of Institution Change. Research is divided into two aspects, contribution of Institution change and indirect contribution. The sixth part summarizes the conclusions of the full text, pointing out the existing limitations of research and finally putting forward the rational policy recommendations.
