A Research On Improvement Of Cultivated Land Grade Based On Land Consolidation And Rehabilitation

Our country has relatively little land with a large population, resulting in insufficient cultivated lands, as well as limited cultivable reserve land. With the development of economy and society, the continuing urbanization will occupy more and more cultivated land, which further highlights the scarcity of cultivated land.Additionally, improper utilization of cultivated land causes the decline of cultivated land quality and deterioration of ecological environment.The quality of cultivated land directly influences its productivity and also influences the food production and food security. Land renovation can increase both the quantity and quality of cultivated land, improve the production condition of agriculture, raise productivity of the land, utilize and protect cultivated land resources rationally, facilitate the sustainable use of cultivated land resource, and ensure the food security of the state.Aiming to improve the quality of cultivated land, based on land renovation projects, with taking the comprehensive land renovation project in Huadian township,Qihe county as example, this paper established a graded evaluation system for the quality of cultivated land according to 8 factors that were topsoil quality, profile pattern, salt marsh degree, content of soil organic matter, irrigation guarantee,irrigation water source, drainage condition and irrigation water quality。Those factors were weighed by using same method for classification of agricultural land quality. On the basis, this paper analyzed the factors which influenced the quality of cultivated land, and found out the limitations for improving the quality of cultivated land in above-mentioned project area. After that, this paper, from those limitations, proposed project planning and design for effectively improving the quality of cultivated land. At last, this paper evaluated the quality of cultivated land in project area before and after the land renovation, which indicated that the natural quality grade and utilizationgrade of the cultivated land after land renovation both were improved for one grade,and the original purpose of improving quality of cultivated land had been achieved by land renovation.
