In the age of knowledge economy, the war for talent among enterprises also intensified, for high-tech enterprises, Professional and technical worker are more important in building competitive advantage and accessing the source of sustainable development for enterprise. How to attract and retain outstanding professional and technical personnel has become an important proposition.Selecting the professionals in high-tech enterprises as the research object, and standing on the basis of domestic and overseas research on competency, this paper analyzed the development and shortcoming of theoretical research and practice. In a way of combining theoretical research and empirical analysis, after a massive literature collection and analysis of professionals’ job characteristics and personal characteristics, this paper analyzed and summarized relevant information by behavioral event interview of a certain sample and large-scale questionnaire. After further consulting experts in this field, I obtained 24 preliminary index factors of competency. Hereafter, based on these, I drawn up questionnaires and analyzed the relevant data with SPSS, and eventually, established competency model of professionals in high-tech enterprises, including professional knowledge, key skills and personality trait.The research results of this paper will obviously supply practical HR management tools for effectively recognition, prediction and training of high-efficient professionals in high-tech enterprises, and will help the HR oriented high-tech enterprises to establish the competency model.
